It May Not Be Your Fault You Are On ChexSystems List

While there are lots of people who end up on ChexSystems because they mismanaged their bank accounts, there are lots of people who wind up on ChexSystems by error, and who should not be on the list.  For example, lots of people end up on the list because they are the victim of identity theft.  Other folks end up on the list due to errors on the part of ChexSystems or their bank.  If you are on ChexSystems, don’t assume that it was your fault!
